Join the Midlands Chapter of the ASSC!
The Midlands Chapter of the ASSC serves Lexington,
Richland, and neighboring counties in the Midlands Region of South Carolina. Our
mission is to educate, promote, and protect the archaeological and historic
heritage of South Carolina and beyond. Anyone with an interest in prehistory and
history is encouraged to join!
If you're not a current ASSC member, the
dues include membership to our parent organization, the Archaeological Society
of South Carolina (ASSC). You'll receive the monthly Midlands Archaeology
Newsletter, the quarterly ASSC Newsletter, Features and Profiles, the annual
journal, South Carolina Antiquities, and opportunities to participate in ASSC
events such as the annual S.C. Archaeology Conference and Banquet in February
and the Archaeology Discovery Day festival in
October.
